Dark Mode Off / On

This year we decided to give a thank you gift to our mail lady. She is a sweet heart. We have had our share of awful mail people. You know the ones? They shove everything in your box even if there is not enough room the envelopes labeled “do not bend” are bent in all directions. And the ones I really like are the ones that leave the “pick up you package at the post office” notes when I was home the whole time!

But right now we have the sweetest lady. She always goes out of her way to deliver our mail in the best way she can. She always comes to the door when I have a large envelope or even just a lot of mail. We know that she cares and does the best she can. With all the cuts being made in the postal field right now I want to take a minute to show that we care and appreciate her. I also wanted to teach my kids about showing you care. I love to teach them to give! This is something fun you can do too!

We didn’t have alot of time or money so I knew exactly where to go, Murphy USA. This store looks small but is full of goodies!

When we got there I was excited to see all the holiday treats available like christmas tree peeps ad mini cakes. We grabbed several of those. My son found some of his favorites and I was happy to include those. I was also excited to see several snacks on sale. I found Hershey’s 2 for $1 and Vitamin Water 2 for $2.22. I grabbed many of those as well. Murphys Usa is a great place to stop when you are short on time and money because you can find so much.

We hurried home and put all the goodies in a Christmas gift bag and filed out a Christmas card. I hung in on the mail box where she could not miss it. Then we waited…and waited…and waited.

She came late that day but we were determined not to miss her. Finally she arrived! It was awesome. She was so excited and shouted Thank you! I have to say I think my son and I were even more excited. It is true it is more fun to give than to receive. We made her day and it was wonderful!

I highly recommend doing this with your kids. It is a great lesson on giving and honors those who work so hard. It does not take much money or time to do something special. If you decide to do this come back and share your experience!

Have Fun and Merry Christmas!

    1. I don’t even understand how I stopped up here, but I believed this publish was great. I don’t recognize who you’re but certainly you’re going to a famous blogger in the event you aren’t already. Cheers!
