Mother’s Day is just around the corner! I believe the best gifts are handmade! Especially when they are made by kids! That is why I like to work with my kids at every holiday to create something completely unique! For this Mother’s Day craft, I decided to take things that many of us already have around the house and make something fabulous!
Make a Pretzel Wreath for Mother’s Day
Supplies:
- Elmer’s Display Board
- Elmer’s Glue All
- Pipe Cleaners
- Box Cutter or other sharp knife/sizzors
- Assortment of crafts for decorating (sequins, pompoms, glitter, etc.)
- Pretzels (We used Mini Pretzel Twists)
How to make a Pretzel Wreath
Step 1. Cut circles of various sizes out of the Elmer’s Display Board
Step 2. Lay out your circles for decorating.
Step 3. Place Elmer’s Glue All along the edge of one circle
Step 4. Place Pretzels one at a time along the edges of the circle. Place them so that the top portion of the pretzel is past the circle edge. Place them side by side.
Step 5. Check that each pretzel is placed securely.
Step 6.Place Elmer’s Glue in the center section of the wreath where you would like to decorate.
Step 6b. You can also write a name in the middle section.
Step 7.Use your craft assortment to decorate your wreaths. We used sequins, felt and pom poms.
Step 8. Take Pipe Cleaners and place one end through on pretzel loop. (This is for the handle or door hanger)
Step 10. Do the same with the other end on the Pipe Cleaner
Step 11. Check that all pretzels and decorations are securely in place.
Step 12. Set aside and let dry.
Tah-Dah! Here is a handmade gift that Moms and Grandmas will LOVE!
