A Triumphant Story of Family, Faith and Football,

THE 5TH QUARTER On Blu-ray and DVD August 30

Recently I posted an opportunity for you to WIN a copy of the 5th Quarter on DVD. Since the moment I read about it I was excited to see this movie about faith, family and football. This movie was released on DVD August 30,2011. I made a note on our family calendar that Friday night was our family movie night and we were watching The 5th Quarter.

Friday night rolled around, we had our popcorn and pallets all made and ready to enjoy this inspirational movie. It starts out setting up all the characters and we were a bit confused but quickly realized that all of the people were connect. Within minutes we loved the family! We could see that each had their special place in this loving family. But it was not long after that we were all brought to a moment that took our breath away. Quickly that breathlessness turned to tears.

This family is faced with the unthinkable! The loss of one of their own suddenly and tragically. I was so impressed and touched when the mom, Andy MacDowell turned to her faith for strength. She lead them in prayer and reading scriptures. As someone who was raised to turn to faith first, this was beautiful to see. It brought back memories of times that our family has done that same thing. But just like in real life sometimes even the strongest faith can be tested. We saw this when family members asked “Why” or “How do we move on.” I am happy to say that this movie reminds you of how you move on. With family, friends and faith!

What makes this even more powerful? This is based on a true story! These people are real! These things really happened!  This is a family movie night MUST SEE. Be prepared to be touched and inspired!
