 Traditional Apple Pie

First and foremost, there is the everyday, tried and true apple pie recipe. For this, all you need is a piecrust, apples, cinnamon, sugar, butter, and water. Once all the ingredients are mixed together, bake them in the piecrust, let it cool on your window to ensure the enticing smell will make all of your neighbors envious, and enjoy! For an extra summer feel, be sure to top off your slice with a delicious dollop of vanilla ice cream.

 Apple Donuts

A little lighter than a piece of pie, and much easier to carry, an apple donut could be the perfect companion for any porch BBQ or beach day.  This is a great dessert for parents and children to make together, as the first part, frying the dough in oil, is much better suited for a parent so that kids can avoid any unnecessary burns. Once the donuts have cooled, kids can decorate them with whatever they want, including cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg, or even apple frosting!

 Apple Cupcakes

Cupcakes are all the rage these days, and now you can get in on the action with these adorable apple shaped desserts. Although these may appear intimidating to create, all you need is a box of your favorite flavor of cake mix and icing, along with some red food dye. Simply blend the ingredients as usual, and add a few drops the food coloring before your cupcakes go into the oven for baking. If you want to make a little brown stem, you can use some slightly melted chocolate in order to create that as well. Easy as, ahem, pie!
