As I am on a mission to get healthy and as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®, I am sharing why the Walgreens adult immunizations are easy and affordable.
Mom, why don’t you have to get shots on your birthday?
That is what came from my sons mouth last week. He is turning 4 this month and I have already started prepping him for his well visit and vaccines. It is a known fact to kids that on their birthday they go.to dr and they may get shots. When they ask why I have always said to stay healthy. He had a very valid point. Why don’t I get shots? So I got to wondering if I was up to date on vaccines. I am embarrassed to say I am not as familiar with the adult vaccine schedule as I should be. One major reason I do not put my health first is cost. Since I am self employed I do not have health insurance for myself. Just a viait can be costly and I sure each shot would add up fast!
Last summer I was excited to discover the Walgreens Prescription Savings Plan. It has made my medicines very affordable. I remembered the last time I picked up my medicine at Walgreens they had signs up about immunizations. So I decided to stop by and see what information they had on adult immunizations.
I went shopping at Walgreens and spoke with the Pharmacist about the Walgreens adult immunizations. She was awesome and full of answers. I was actually excited about getting my flu shot and getting up to.date on my others. Let me tell you why I got excited!

Now you know why Walgreens is the easy and affordable way to stay up to date on your shots. But there is another reason to make Walgreens the place for your answers. Walgreens has partnered with the United Nations Foundation’s Shot at Life campaign. Until October 14, 2013 for every person who receives a flu shot or any immunization at Walgreens, they’ll help supply a life saving vaccine to a child in a developing country. The message behind the campaign is ‘Get A Shot. Give A Shot’ Together, this partnership will provide up to three million vaccines for life threatening diseases like measles and polio.
I love this and thought about it as my kids were getting ready for fall ball to start. By getting my vaccinations at Walgreens I am giving a child a shot at playing ball. Such a simple but HUGE thing that can only happen if children are healthy!
So I have decided to get my flu shot so that I can be healthy through the fall and winter seasons. I do not want to miss a single game! Thanks to Walgreens it is easy, affordable and helps a child somewhere live a healthy life too!
