Beds are ready. Food is stored. Noah hollers, “All aboard!” It’s bedtime on Noah’s ark, but the animals can’t sleep because of the storm. Two by two, they crowd into Noah’s bed, creating a sticky situation. Will Noah ever get them back to their own beds? Climb aboard the ark for this rollicking, yet ultimately restful bedtime story as Noah finds a way to make things calm and cozy, even in the midst of a storm.
We love simple, uplifting, feel good night time stories. Don’t you? I have a new one to share with you. Goodnight, Ark (By Laura Sassi, illustrated by Jane Chapman Published by Zondervan) is one of our new favorites.
This sweet story is familiar to my kids from years of bible classes. This story is not the average story of the ark, This is not about the flood, or God. This is a comical take on the sleeping arrangements inside the ark. The illustrations really bring the book to life. The animals almost leap off the pages. My son (4 years old) was mesmerized by the images and how it brought the story to life. Each page left you guessing what was was ahead. We were all laughing.
This book is a short, but not too short, read with 32 pages. It is recommended for ages 4-8, but I would say 0-10 could enjoy this book.
If you are looking for a good Christian child’s book, this is one to try! Goodnight, Ark is a great buy. It is only 11.99 on Amazon.
