Disclosure: I received tickets in exchange for my coverage of the awesome Holiday attractions on Galveston Island.

If you are looking for something fun for the whole family to put you in the Christmas spirit look no further than Galveston Island! You will be greeted with the red and green and so much more as the town has been transformed into a Winter Wonder Island! We spent all day on the island and were transported to a Winer Wonder Island for sure!

If you are taking the short drive out to Galveston, you can plan to end your day at the Festival of Lights at Moody Gardens. This is a family tradition for us and each year we love it more than the year before.

You will enjoy  one million lights within 100 sound-enhanced animated light displays and nightly live entertainment. It is only open November 12, 2016 – January 8, 2017.

This year was no exception. We were thrilled to be impressed with all the colors and lights. Here are some highlights from our trip. Galveston Island Festival of Lights Christmas

As we entered we were met by toy soldiers. My favorite!

Whether on stage or in lights, SpongeBob always makes an appearance and this makes my little man very happy!

My personal favorite is the story of Jesus’s birth. The story is told through lights. As you stand and watch each scene will light up as the narrator tells the story. As each scene comes to an end, the lights go out and lead you to the next scene in the story. It is magical!
