Disclosure: I received tickets in exchange for my coverage of the awesome Holiday attractions on Galveston Island.

If you are looking for something fun for the whole family to put you in the Christmas spirit look no further than Galveston Island! You will be greeted with Christmas trees, hot cocoa, beautiful lights and so much more as the town has been transformed into a Winter Wonder Island! We spent all day on the island and were transported to a Winer Wonder Island for sure!

Before ending your day at the Festival of Lights you have to visit the AMAZING ICE LAND at Moody Gardens! What is ICE LAND? Moody Gardens takes the holidays to a whole new level of cool! A skilled team of master ice carvers has charted your course for the  ultimate Caribbean Christmas! Embark on a breathtaking undersea journey made of two million pounds of ice!

Can you image that much ice and walking through an adventure filled with ice sculptures in Texas? You can! They have created a one of a kind building that houses the ice sculptures experience. You walk in and are greeted with the very crisp cols air! They keep the temp of the adventure at a freezing 9 degrees!

The adventure begins with a beautiful boat that you can climb on. It is breathtaking!

While you can’t touch every ice sculpture, you can get up close and personal with some. This was one of the photo opp moments. They welcomed you to sit in the ice lounge chairs. Check out Santa in the back! So cute!

Galveston Island Ice Land Moody GardensBy far, the favorite part of the experience was the ice slide. The kids LOVED it! We left with wet and cold bottoms but it was so worth it!

TIPS: Bring gloves, hats, and a jackets! You will be provided parkas but you will still need more to keep warm. It is VERY COLD inside! And you don’t want to miss a thing because you are too cold! So come prepared. They do have hats and gloves you can purchase there if you wish.
