A baby’s first year is a time of significant changes – and it can be tough on them! So here are three tips to help keep your baby relaxed and happy all year long.

The first tip is to create a calming bedtime routine. For example, a bath, followed by some quiet time reading or singing together, will help your baby wind down and get ready for sleep. In addition, a white noise machine can be a huge help in getting your baby to drift off to dreamland.

The second tip is to keep mealtimes calm and relaxed. If your baby is getting fussy, try taking a break from whatever you’re doing and just focus on them. Make eye contact, smile, and offer encouragement. And if they still seem unhappy, it’s okay to let them have a little “time-out” from the meal.

Finally, don’t forget to take some time for yourself! As a new parent, it’s easy to get wrapped up in everything that’s going on with your little one. But it’s important to remember that you need some time to relax and recharge too. So take a few minutes each day to do something that you enjoy, whether it’s reading, taking a walk, or just sitting in silence.
