I am sitting here about to scream with excitement of my big news! I am sharing this news to encourage those of you striving for the dream and thank the ones who helped me get to this place.
I have worked from home now for 4 years. My blog became my “job” when I decided I wanted to stay home with my kids. I have shared my story many times with you all. I shared how to follow your heart and work from home and about my year of faith testers and doubt busters. At the end of 2012 I was THRILLED to share my news of becoming a member of the cbSocially team for Collective Bias. Until that point, that was my dream! I was contracted to work for cbSocially. I have been doing that for 16 month! WOW! Has it been that long? During this time my passion and love for this ground breaking, amazing company has grown even more. I decided that I wanted my future to be with Collective Bias. I wanted to help it grow and be the absolute BEST! I was thrilled to watch the growth and huge successes of Collective Bias while working on this incredible team of women! Let me talk about these women for a minute. They have held my hand through the crazy last year of moving and changes in my life. This team has been my rock. I can’t say enough fabulous things about Sandy, Alicia, April, Mimi and Linette. They are brilliant and have taught me so much! I will forever be grateful!
SO what about the big announcement??? Well, here we go! I will no longer be working on the cbSocially Team. As awesome as it is, it will not be around anymore. I am so sad to see this end. That is the bad news. The good news is that Collective Bias is moving in a new and even more awesome direction! And guess who gets to be a part of that? ME! YES! I am officially a FULL TIME employee for Collective Bias. Forbes Named Collective Bias One of the America’s 25 Most Promising Companies and I get to be a part of this AMAZING company!
I was shocked when I heard the news. It was over a Google Hangout so everyone could see my reaction. For once, I was speechless. I could not believe they wanted ME! The day I found out I cried, a sang, I screamed and I laughed! I was over whelmed with emotion. This company thinks that I am worthy of being a part of their amazing family! That is humbling and HUGE! I love this company and give it my full heart and attention each day (between picnics and batman). To be recognized and invited to join this company is SO EXCITING!
Collective Bias Rocks!
I will be a SoFabConnect Coordinator for the Audience Development Department.
“SoFabConnect is a media channel managed by Collective Bias. Content is generated by our Social Fabric community, a proprietary community consisting of 2,300 shopping-focused influencers with an aggregate, multichannel reach in excess of 40 million. The content is a combination of Collective Bias program content written by our Social Fabric members.”
This is seriously the best job ever! I am able to read posts from talented bloggers every single day! I get to share them with the world! I get to support and help others grow! I get to be inspired and inspire others! I get to do this while being at home with my little man and sharing my desk with SpiderMan. It is such a blessing. God has blessed me! I give him all the glory! I will be joining a team that consists of 4 ladies. 3 that I was working with at cbSocially (Sandy, April and Mimi) and the amazing Christy Gossett. Christy is the Sparkle Queen and her passion for SoFabConnect is over flowing! I am so excited to work under her direction. This is a not a DREAM! This is a dream come true! I am honored that after years of work and determination I am able to say that I am a Collective Bias employee! SoFabConnect is something you do not want to miss. Bookmark it. Subscribe to it! I want to encourage each of you that is trying to find a way to work from home or follow your dream. You can do it! Stay focused. Stay determined. Stay passionate! I know how hard it is to balance everything and keep your head up. I know how it feels to keep hearing the word NO! If you love what you are doing, keep doing it! One day someone will see it and will appreciate it. Find your place, find your people and follow your dreams! Dreams DO come true!
