Where is your favorite place in the world? What is the one place that brings you pure joy and peace? For me, that place is the beach. And it is not just the beach. It is being there with my family! It is the people and the place!

I’ve had a rough few weeks and needed a serious pick me up. My amazing husband knows what always brightens my mood…the beach! So we visited my favorite place this weekend. It was a super short and quick visit because of our work schedules. BUT it was a visit.

I just wanted to take a minute to encourage you to find your happy place. Find the place and the people that bring you peace and joy. When you are having a hard time, take a quick trip to your happy place and join those people.

Now if your happy place is out of state or country then this won’t work. So think of a local happy place. The coffee shop? A special restaurant? A park? The place you got married? The ballpark? Maybe it is your living room with popcorn and iced tea. Whatever brings you peace and joy… figure out what that is and DO IT! Go there! Be there! Find joy there!

Remember you need little moments of joy in the midst of all the craziness of life. So find your people and make a date! It is good for your body and soul.
