Dark Mode Off / On

I have been talking about Nintendo Wii games that I love and are affordable. You can read about Mario Supper Slugger here or see more of the Nintendo Select Collection here. The latest game that we have tried for “family game time” is Animal Crossing for Wii.

Gameplay
You make the whole story, as you and up to three other players move into a town and just live life. Befriend your animal neighbors, decorate your house with cool furnishings, fill up your wardrobe, get to know the local wildlife, hop on a bus to visit the new city and just explore the world. There are a million different ways to play. Every charming animal character has a personality: some are grouches while others are chatterboxes. And there’s no final goal or high score to hit. The game keeps going for as long as you want to play, and your town will always be there when you return. Move into town, buy a house and then do whatever you want. Time and seasons pass as they do in the real world, so there’s always something different happening. Collect more than 2,400 items, go fishing for rare and interesting fish, catch all kind of cool bugs, dig up dinosaur fossils and buried treasure, hang out with other players or spend the day in the city. There’s so much to do, and you have all the time in the world to explore it all.

My Opinion:

My 5 year old loves this game. This is one that she can play on her own. She is able to create her own town! Which is really cool! But it doesn’t stop there. It actually is just the beginning! You can then decorate, create, make friends, go fishing and more!

It is life in the online town just as it is in real life. You will got through seasons and celebrate the holidays in the season! Day or night you can log on and check on your town. It is always there waiting for you as it goes on through the days and nights.

You can even go to the salon and get a “Mii” makeover. Change up your hair or your clothing style. Whatever you want! The possibilities are endless with this game.

What I love most about Animal Crossing is that it requires the player (my daughter) to be creative! It encourages her to use her imagination as there is NO LIMIT to what you can do and create! I love that she is able to explore and experiment in her online world. It is so much fun for me to watch!

Animal Crossing is now available as a part of the Nintendo Selects collection of Wii games. Nintendo Selects are a set of fun, family-friendly games that millions of people have already experienced and are a great value at a suggested retail price of $19.99.
