It’s that time of year! I don’t know about your kids but mine are already counting down the days! I saw several countdown sets at Ross, Home Goods, etc. but they were all pricey and not my style. So I decided to make my own Countdown to Christmas. This DIY Dollar Tree Countdown to Christmas Blocks Craft is so cheap and so easy. The kids can even help!

Supplies needed for the Dollar Tree Countdown to Christmas DIY Craft
- Foam Dice
- Wood tray
- foam paint brushes
- paint (mine is from Walmart but you can use the acrylic paint from Dollar Tree)

Start with one coat of bright white on your dice.
Let it dry completely and then do a second coat to fully cover the dice.
For the tray I did white first. Then I went over it with a few dabs of gray to give it a super cute look and match my furniture.

Once they were all fully dried I put on the letters and numbers. For the Days Till Christmas I used my Cricut and regular vinyl and it worked great on the wood.
For the dice it was trial and error and I discovered the stickers worked much better than the vinyl.
I used 3 dice to make sure I had all numbers covered. Dice 1 had 1,2,3 for the first number. Dices 3 and 4 had 0-9 on them for the second number. One dice will stay blank. You will stack them so you can see them over the tray.

I LOVE how cute my Dollar Tree DIY Countdown to Christmas Blocks turned out! What would you change or customize to make it unique for your family?
This would also make a great gift. For $4 you can’t beat this!
