Date nights should be fun and we are always looking to try something new! Last week we had the privilege to dine at a new to us restaurant in The Woodlands. The Woodlands is just north of Houston Texas. It is one of our favorite places to escape the city! We have visited the resort in the Woodlands as a family. But this time, we wanted it to be just the two of us.

Jasper’s has become pretty famous for our gourmet backyard cuisine over the years. Backyard food is simple food. But this isn’t about flipping a few burgers and hot dogs on the grill. This is different. Jasper’s is a chef-driven scratch kitchen, a Nation’s Restaurant News Hot Concepts! award winner. Every dish relies on exceptional ingredients reimagined from familiar, comforting recipes. Simple has never been so delectable.
The service was outstanding! The hostess, the waiter, the management, and even the Chef! The Chef came out to greet us after we had received our food. It was an honor talking with him. He made a recommendation for our last course.
Our food was incredible. We started with the meatballs.
Joel ordered the Bone-In Cowboy Ribeye with roasted garlic whippers. I had the Wood Grilled Pork Tenderloin served over Jalapeño Charred Corn. Both were paired with veggies made unique and were mouth watering!
The Chef recommended the TRIO for the dessert. Oh my goodness! So good! It included the Butterfinger Crème Brûlée, Apple Bread Pudding, and Chocolate Buttermilk Pie. I could eat the apple bread pudding ALL DAY!
