As you know my daughter is going into 3rd grade this year. I am a little emotional as both my kids head to school. We have been collecting supplies and getting ready for weeks. As we prepared for back to school, we wanted to make something special for her new teacher. I was inspired by some duck tape projects on Pinterest. For this easy diy gift idea you only need pencils and Duct Tape.
Are you ready to learn how to make duct tape flowers? These are crazy simple! REALLY!
Step 1: Tear off or cut a small piece of duct tape.
Step 2: Fold one side into a triangle, leaving sticky section visible at the bottom.
Step 3: For the other side so that the 2 triangles match.
Step 4: Line the eraser of the pencil with the tip of the triangle you just created.
Step 5: Wrap one side around and press the sticky section to attach the pencil. Do one side, then the other.
Step 6. Repeat steps 1-5.
Step 7: This time line the top of the triangle opposite the other triangle tip. Wrap.
Step 8: Continue adding petals, alternating tip positions. Add as many as you would like.
Tip: Make sure the bottom of the duct tape triangles line up each time. This will prevent a tunnel effect.
