When making sweets for Valentine’s Day or any fun event, I try to save money any way I can. Sometimes money saving tips are born out of a need. This recipe was created when I just could not get out of the house to go get decorative sugar. I looked in the pantry and decided to try something. To my surprise and delight, IT WORKED! I am excited to share this homemade colored sugar recipe with you. Save money and time with this easy recipe! What you need:
- Sugar
- Food Coloring
- Small containers with lids
Step One: Put sugar in a container. I did small a small amount, about 1/2 cup.
Step Two: Add drops of your food coloring to the sugar. I did 3 drops for each 1/2 cup of sugar. Step Three: Place the lid on the container and SHAKE! Stop and check on the color. If it is not consistent in color, shake some more. Step Three: You are done! Decorate your sweets! Feel free to pin this image so that you can find this homemade colored sugar recipe later.
