This summer avoid the “Mom I’m bored” syndrome by planning some cheap or free outings. Here are the movie theaters that are offering discounted movies for kids this summer.

Summer KidFest at Cinemaworld Every day at 10 am through June and July.  Children are FREE. Adults are just $2 or FREE with the donation to a charity. See the Cinemaworld site for more info.

Participating Great Escape movie theaters will be showing free kids movies starting in May. Check for participating Great Escape locations and times.

Bookworm Wednesday at Showcase Cinema Every Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. from July 11 – August 8, just bring a book report* with you to the select Bookworm Wednesdays movie and that’s your price of admission! Download the Book Report

Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse is offering 10 shows for $5 if you purchase in advance or you can pay $1 per show. See participating locations and times here.

Regal Summer Movie Express is offering movies for $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 am, See particiapting theaters and times here.

Marquee Cinemas kids Summer Movie Program offers free movies at select locations.

Harkins Summer Movie Fun for kids offers a  movie a week for 10 weeks, for less than $1 per film.  See participating locations, time and movies here.

Muvico Theaters is offering their Summer Film Fest.

Studio Movie Grill Children Summer Series offers  $1 kid and $2 adult May- August. A new movie every week! See times and locations here.

Alamo Kids’ Camp Series offers kid movies for free. See their site for movies and times.

Free Family Film Festival at Rave Cinemas: Free movies Mondays and Thursdays at 10 am.

  1. We absolutely love going to the summer kids movie programs, because they get us out of the house (and into someone else’s A/C) and they’re budget-friendly. But a piece of advice: get there EARLY. There have been so many times when we’ve shown up at the ‘usual time’ in advance for a movie only to find they’ve been sold out. 🙁
