Have you heard of weight loss magic soup? If not I am sure you have heard of cabbage soup or vegetable soup or other soups for weight loss. This Magic Soup for Weight Loss is a combination of some of those. I found the magic soup for weight loss on the Mexico Bariatric Center. I loved that this version included kidney beans for fiber. But I added wanted to add my own flare and make it as easy as possible, that is where the Instant Pot comes in!

For weight loss it is always best to get the most taste and filling in a small package. Meaning a small serving that delivers a big punch and keeps you full longer.

This magic soup for weight loss in the Instant Pot relievers that punch while giving me the nutrition that I need while I am watching my calorie intake.

How much soup do I eat for weight loss?

How much soup you each for weight loss is really up to you. You can simply eat this soup for each meal for a few days if you need a quick reset or detox. For me, I have found eating it for breakfast and lunch does the trick. It keeps me full and satisfied. Then for dinner I eat a healthy meal with the family like pork chops and salad or chicken. Sometimes I make Chicken in the Instant Pot or these amazing pork chops in the Air Fryer.

For all of my Instant Pot recipes I use my 6 quart Instant Pot.

Magic Soup For Weight Loss in the Instant Pot

Ingredients

  • Mushrooms
  • Purple Onion
  • Garlic
  • Jalapeño
  • Large carrot diced or 1 pound of baby carrots
  • 32 ounce Chicken Broth
  • 1 can 15 once dark red kidney beans
  • 1 can 15 ounce green beans
  • 3 cups cut cabbage
  • 1 green zucchini
  • V8 juice (Do not use tomato juice! It will taste different.)
  • Italian seasoning
  • parsley
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

  • Sauté 1/4 purple onion, 1/2 cup mushrooms, I jalapeño (optional), and minced garlic in the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  • Once sautéed add carrots and 1/4 cup chicken broth and cook about 5 more minutes on sauté. Stirring often.
  • Now add in kidney beans, green beans, cut up cabbage (about 3 cups), on chopped zucchini.
  • Add 3 cups V8 juice. Do not use tomato juice! It will taste different.
  • Add 32 ounces chicken broth.
  • Add about a teaspoon of parsley and a teaspoon of Italian seasoning. A dash of salt and pepper.
  • Stir.
  • I used the Stew setting for 50 mins.
  • Once done let it slow release (don’t open the release valve)
  • Once done stir, add salt and pepper and enjoy.

  • 1 can 15 ounce green beans
  • 3 cups cabbage
  • 1 green zucchini

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 pinch salt pepper
