Our days are busy and full. Let’s to be done everyday and our list keeps growing. With so much to do, we are all about getting our kids involved and helping with household chores. There are some ways that I am making chores easy and fun for the kids. It is all about finding the right products and presenting them in a fun way.
First, gather the best products for the job! I went to Dollar General and picked up our favorite products.
Scotch-Brite™ Brand is a brand that we trust and use in our house. So I picked up some of our favorite items to help make chores easier. Scotch-Brite® Heavy Duty Scrub Dots Sponge and Scotch-Brite® Non-Scratch Scrub Dots Sponge are our favorite for easy clean-up!
Scotch-Brite® Non-Scratch Scrub Dots Dishwand is a must for doing dishes.
Scotch-Brite® Heavy Duty Scrub Dots Sponge is good for eliminating baked-on messes on Pots, Pans, and Heavy Duty Cookware. Scotch-Brite® Non-Scratch Scrub Dots Sponge can safely clean all cookware without scratching. It is perfect for Non-Stick Cookware, Counter Tops, Cook Tops. Scrub Dots Sponges Scrub Fast and Rinse Clean.
Second, create a little basket for each child with their own cleaning supplies. I gathered a few other necessities while at Dollar General. I put all the items together in a fun basket. One for each child.
For the basket you will need:
- paper towels
- dish towels
- dish soap
- gloves
- baskets
- a dish drying mat
We love the power and believability of the Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots. Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots scrub fast and rinse clean.
We also love the which make washing dishes fast and easy. Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots features Scrubbing Dots technology, which allow the sponges to rinse clean.
Third, create a little chore chart. My daughter is old enough to know what needs to be done and when. But my son has to be reminded. So I picked up a Homework Chart from Dollar General and cut off the top, making it a chore chart. We set down and together decided which chores should done on which day. He filled it out. Then we placed it in the Kitchen for him to check each day.
Fourth, we made a cute sign to hang on the dishwasher to know when things are dirty or clean. To make it we picked up a magnetic frame and colorful paper while at the Dollar General.
To create this cute sign simply follow these steps:
- Remove the preloaded photograph from the frame
- Use it to trace your area from the paper that you chose.
- Cut out the area to be used as your photograph
- Insert into the frame
- Use a Dry Erase Marker to write clean or dirty on the frame.
- It easily wipes off and you can edit it as needed.
- Stick to the front of the dishwasher
Our son was excited to be the one to write Dirty or Clean each evening.
Lastly, join in the fun and show them how to do things properly. Using the right products and techniques is important for easy cleaning.
