Who doesn’t love biscuits and gravy? In Texas that is a big deal and a breakfast favorite! I am always looking for a short cut and love semi-homemade dishes. You know, the kind with part premade or prepackaged items that you can use to make something homemade in minutes. This easy and fast Semi-Homemade Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast Casserole Recipe quickly because a favorite in our house. I plan to make it Christmas morning too. You can add to it to make it for a larger crowd. This recipe feeds approximately 8. ENJOY!

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cans large, flaky biscuits
  • 2 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 1 package of white country gravy mix

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. (Use the temp on the biscuit can as a guide)

Prepare a small casserole dish with cooking spray. I used a 9×9.

Open biscuits, and cut biscuits into quarters.

Bake according to the biscuit can instructions. Mine was for 15 mins. You want the biscuits to be light brown.

Brown your 2 pounds of sausage. Use less if you prefer. We like sausage!

Make the gravy according to the instructions.

Combine sausage and gravy.

Pour the gravy mix over the biscuits.

Layer the remaining quartered biscuits over the gravy.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
