There is no right time to have a family, but it’s when you have a family you start to get that pit of the stomach feeling at the time is now to expand it. When you meet somebody and you want to spend your life with them, whether you get married or not is irrelevant, you often look to see how else you can spread the love that you have for each other.
It’s why children are often the natural progression for some couples. They take that love, spread it around and grab it with both hands. They feel proud of that, and they nurture that. Some people turn to adoption or look into foster children rather than have their own children, and other people choose to spread their love by adopting pets. Either way, it can help to know what the right signs are that you are ready to expand your family and push all about to even more places. Here are some of those signs.
- Babies, babies everywhere! Some people feel broody or wanting because they seem to notice cute babies and children everywhere they go. It’s like when you buy a yellow car; all you see everywhere is yellow cars! You see them, you notice them and you are attracted to the sight you’re seeing in a parental way.
- You miss those needy days. You love having a little one looking up to you at your feet, and you are ready for another one around the house. Your toddler and your baby needs you, but the trouble with parenting is that we raise our babies to be without us. If you’re missing those needy days, then it’s a good reason to expand that love and have another one!
- You’re obsessing over baby onesies. The clothes! Whether you are looking to try for a baby again or you want to foster children or adopt a baby from abroad, you are mooning over all of the clothes you’re seeing on your travels from store to store.
- Your body is craving a child. Your hormones are back in whack and your cycles are back to where they should be. Your partner is giving you the nudge about having a new baby and you are ready to expand your family and add to your home.
- Your kids are asking for a sibling. If you have children already, you’re likely going to hear all about a new brother or sister and when they’re going to get one. Your little ones are going to be so excited if you are having a new baby – whether you carry one yourself or you adopt!
- You miss the changes in you. You change when you become a parent and even if you don’t carry the baby yourself, you’re going to change emotionally when you have another child who is yours.
Parenting is a wonderful, exhausting and magical experience. You should have another child only when you are truly ready and happy to say yes!
