These are so much fun! I was looking for St. Patrick’s Day breakfast ideas and decided to make green pancakes and do DIY Shamrock Pancakes. It was a huge hit!
These green pancakes are so much fun! They are so easy that the kids can even help!
All you need is:
- Pancake Mix (I used the Walmart brand that only requires that you add water)
- Water
- Green Food Coloring
- Bowl
- Spoon
- Pan
Make your pancake mix according to the directions. Or make yours from scratch.
Add about 4 drops of food coloring. More or less depending on the darkness you would like.
Add small spoonfuls to the pan to cook.
Be careful not to overcook. If you do, your pancakes will turn brown and lose the green coloring.
Make them small so that small fingers can play with them. Make sausage links and consider Lucky Charms cereal.
Put each of the above in small bowls for each child.
Use the sausage as the little stem and the green pancakes as the leaves. Make 3 leaves of 4 lucky leaves.
Have fun!
