This weekend I learned a huge life lesson. At’s all about perception. A group of people can experience the same thing or hear the same speech, and EVERY person will have a different story to share. We are each wired differently through family experiences, beliefs, life stages and where we came from. Because we are all different, no two people will see something the same.
That is true about relationships as well. It happens in marriage, dating, friendship and families. Husbands and wives have different needs and desires, and that means they may see their marriage differently. One may be happy and content while the other is miserable.
In a friendship one may see something as betrayal and the other person may not understand that at all. One may feel that something happened and only think about how it is in his/her mind. If they are both assuming something and just leave it at that, it will die. Communication and honesty are so important.
Perception can lead to division if we are not careful. The key to quality relationships is being open to see the other person’s view of things. One person may interpret actions one way and if they assume it is what they think they may kill something very special. This is something I have to work on. Here are some quotes about perception to help with this life lesson.
