Do you ever feel like a failure?

I do!

As I sit here writing this, I do! In so many ways I feel like a failure. This week it has really hit me how I have failed.

I could list a dozen reasons right now why I feel like I am a failure. But I will not, there is no need to go over them all again and again. You have your own and I have mine.

I admit I have very high expectations for myself. I expect perfection. But even with a less than perfect standard, I am failing.

But here is the thing. God did not make us to be perfect. He knew we would be less than perfect and he made us anyway! Not only did he make us, he loves us!

I have to lean on that when I feel this way. I can’t quit. You can’t quit. That is not an option. So what do we do starting NOW to fix this? Well, I can’t do anything about what has been done. So, I am going to start over fresh tomorrow. I will work to right the wrongs that I can. And work towards a new and better outcome for the things I can’t fix right away. I will pray for courage, strength, and the knowledge to make the right choices moving forward.

Will you pray with me? Can I pray for you?

Do you ever have weeks like this? Where you just can’t catch a break? From work to kids, to friends to your house, you just can’t get it right? If so, please know you are not alone! We are not alone! We are all in this together!scriptures about failure

Romans 5: 3-5

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
Psalms 55:22

“if God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things.”

“Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the Lord gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged.”

He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.”
