Dark Mode Off / On

I haven’t been writing much the past month. Things have been a little crazy. A job sent our family from our home of 10 years right outside of Houston to a small town right outside of Lafayette.

The funny thing to me is that it is only 4 hours from our old home yet we feel like we moved to another country! The culture, language, food and everything else are completely different. I can not possibly begin to tell you all I have learned in the last few weeks. It has been an adventure to say the least!

Here are a few fun things I will share:

The kids love seeing all the alligators.

I ate frog legs. Oh yes I did. They taste like fish and chicken. 🙂

This is from a local donut shop. It is pronounced Sass-Say-Bon. It means that is good!

We visited the Tabasco factory. You really should go!

We are surrounded by sugar cane fields!

I am excited to see what lies ahead for me, my family and this blog. God has something great planned. I am sure of it.
