How to Find the Right Running Shoes For Wide Feet

how to find the right shoes for wide feetAs you know, I am on a weight loss journey. I started walking and trying to get fit. One of the big issues I had was figuring out how to find the right running shoes for wide feet. I have VERY WIDE feet! So much so, that I usually have to buy shoes 1.5 to 2 sizes too big in order to be comfortable. Then I fall because they are too long. It makes it painful to walk or run. The throbbing and the blisters make me dread the walks.

While trying to find how to find the right running shoes for wide feet, I stumbled upon Brooks Shoes. The website was very impressive! They have a shoe advisor. I thought why not give it a try, but really figured it would not work.Brooks Shoe Advisor -

It asked about my fitness routine (run, jog, etc.). It asked about my weight. Then it asked about the width! SWEET.Brooks Shoe Advisor

It also asked about pronation. Pronation is the inward roll of the foot while walking or running. Or the degree of inward roll in terms of where the foot pushes off at the end of each step.

So at the end of the shoe advisor, I had an answer. It suggested the The new Adrenaline GTS 15 women’s running shoe.Brooks Shoe Advisor - Find Your Shoe & Run Happy.clipular

But they are much more than pretty. My first thought was that they were so comfortable. They were very cushy. Would it last?Brooks Shoes how to find the right shoes for wide feet

Let me first mention that I did NOT by a size larger. I bought my actual size plus one half size like it recommended for everyone. Since they were made wide, I really hoped that I would not need to buy a crazy large size. The first day I walked 1/2 mile and was impressed. I could feel the air reaching my toes. They were so roomy. I haven’t felt that before. Soft. Wide. Airy. Supportive. Yes. Yes. Yes.
